Aithrio, as the name illustrates, is one of the few examples of the unique Zagorian style architecture with an impressive inner courtyard, located in the central square of one of the better preserved villages of Zagori.

Overview

This splendid 17th century manor house has undergone several renovations in order to enhance the original state. Its old structural material and elements have been restored by the current owners with supreme detail and respect to the unique architectural tradition of the EPIRUS which has incorporated modern day requirements.

It is comprised of a black stone on the roof, walls made of white local stone, wooden frames, characteristic chimneys and floor slab tiles, all in keeping with the old mansions of the ZAGORIA. It also contains elaborate stonework with intricate hand carved trimmings and copper pipes which have been tastefully put together with wooden floors, eco-friendly fireplaces and air conditioning. Each room has been fitted with hydro-massage cabins-bath, free Wi-Fi in all rooms with amazing speed and flat-screen TVs high-definition with unlimited satellite channels.

The five rooms have been named after protected birds which live in the area of the Zagori. Each room has its own distinctive character due to the colour scheme and made up of comfortable, homely and yet elegant furniture by well-known designers. All modern hotel comforts are a sure guarantee for an unforgettable stay. The old “hagiati” or wooden veranda has been connected to the kitchen and turned into a cozy, warm and welcoming breakfast room. Here you may begin your day enjoying fresh bread, local pies, cakes, handmade jams, pure honey and a variety of other local dishes made with fresh ingredients.
